Laura A. James, Associate, Cleveland

Mrs. James is an associate with the firm's Business Litigation & Counseling Practice Group and the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group.  She joined Cowden & Humphrey in November, 2007.

Mrs. James focuses her legal practice on assisting individuals and corporations in navigating litigation and the alternatives thereto.  She also provides consulting and litigation services to employers concerning all aspects of employment law.

Prior to joining Cowden & Humphrey, Mrs. James practiced extensively in commercial and corporate litigation in Columbus, Ohio, where she had primary responsibility in all aspects of client representation.  Laura’s hands-on experience in working with clients allows her to provide not only effective litigation representation, but practical advice focused on our client’s business goals and needs.

Mrs. James is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Women in the Law Section of the CMBA and the Ohio State Bar Association.  She is also a member of the Michigan State University Cleveland Alumni chapter, the Cleveland West Road Runners Club, and the Cleveland-West Alumnae chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi.
